Who We Are
Hanover DASH is a community service offered by the Hanover County Department of Community Resources thanks to a grant from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation. The service offers direct, nonstop rides, with options to reserve the same-day, or you can reserve up to 90 days in advance, (wheelchair transports 24-hours in advance when possible); single riders or with a guest, Personal Care Assistants (PCA), or service animals are allowed. They are a credentialed transportation provider and can travel anywhere within the Hanover County service area for medical appointments, personal business such as grocery shopping or banking, Hanover County government buildings, and formal social and recreational programs.
All trips must begin or end in Hanover County. The service includes all of Hanover County and a seven-mile area beyond the County boundaries. Visit the website to view a service area map.
To enroll in the program, complete an application online or print an application to submit by fax or in-person drop-off. An application and required verification documents must be completed and approved before scheduling a ride. Call 804-365-DASH (3274) for more information.
