Accessible Transportation

The City of Colonial Heights Department of Recreation and Parks strives to provide, develop, and maintain an array of parks, parks facilities, services, and recreational opportunities for all citizens to improve the overall quality of life for the community. The department provides a wide range of quality recreation and parks services through public awareness, utilization of resources, and being responsive to the community.

Transportation services are available only to Colonial Heights residents who are at least 60 years of age or of any age who have a disability.  Transportation will be available to and from any Colonial Heights destination and, for medical appointments, only to and from Petersburg, Hopewell, and the Puddledock Road area of Prince George County.  Individuals who use a wheelchair must have a companion in order to utilize transportation services.  This is in place because of insurance purposes.

Services will be administered through the Colonial Heights Senior Transportation division of the Agency on Aging.
