Accessible Transportation

FXBGO! provides public transit services in the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Spotsylvania and Stafford. The Greater Fredericksburg region is located in central Virginia, on the I-95 Corridor, between the Washington D.C., and Richmond Metropolitan areas.

FXBGO! provides accessible transportation by providing deviated fixed-route bus service. All vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Drivers will assist persons on and off the bus when needed and make bus stop announcements regularly to make riding easier. Drivers are trained in passenger assistance and wheelchair securement procedures.

One Personal Care Attendant (PCA) may ride for free. A PCA is someone designated or employed specifically to help a disabled passenger meet his or her personal needs. A PCA typically assists with one or more daily life activities such as providing personal care, performing manual tasks, or providing assistance with mobility or communication.

FXBGO! is a department of the City of Fredericksburg and is directly managed and operated by the City of Fredericksburg employees.
