Altavista Community Transit System Accessible Transportation

The Altavista Community Transit System (ACTS) offers a deviated fixed-route service to all ages. The service operates six days a week: Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  The specific route and schedule of stops and times are contained in the Bus Schedule. A fare of fifty cents ($.50) per trip is charged and must be paid when boarding the bus. An exact change is required, however, tokens, monthly passes, and punch cards are also accepted and may be purchased at Town Hall.

ACTS buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts for people with disabilities or those who require assistance.  Please ask the driver for help if you need assistance when boarding.
