Who We Are

Hampton Health Department participates in the Every Woman's Life (EWL) program, a public health program that helps uninsured, low-income women gain access to free breast cancer screening services. Screening and early detection reduce death rates, improve treatment options, and greatly increase survival.

In some sites where EWL services are offered, women can also be screened for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose and also learn how to become more physically active, eat healthier foods, and more.

For detailed information about eligibility guidelines for the EWL program and to find a screening provider site, go to Every Woman's Life
