Every Woman's Life Program Breast Cancer Screening

Capital Breast Care Center participates in the Every Woman's Life program, a public health program sponsored by the Virginia Department of Health that helps uninsured, low income women gain access to the free breast cancer screening services.  Clinical breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams, Pap tests and diagnostic tests are performed for enrolled women.  Screening and early detection reduce death rates and improve treatment options.

Mammography is an important preventive health procedure for women.  For early detection of breast cancer, the best option is regular screening mammograms for women over the age of 40.
