Medication Assistance Program
Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging
Who We Are
The Medication Assistance Program is a prescription assistance program for low-income seniors with medication expenses that are not covered by health insurance or any other program. Individuals are screened for available free medications from drug companies. A signed application form is needed to find out if the prescribed medications are available from drug companies.
The drug companies that offer free medications require income and health information. The result of the screening along with each drug company application is mailed to the prescribing doctor for signature. Medications are normally sent to the prescribing doctor's office but sometimes are sent to the senior's home.
Donations are accepted and appreciated for the Medication Assistance Program to help defray costs and continue this service to more seniors in need.
