Who We Are

Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) provides local public bus and van transportation for visitors and citizens of James City County, the City of Williamsburg, the Bruton District of York County, and the College of William and Mary. WATA has a fixed-route bus transit service and offers paratransit transportation for persons with disabilities who cannot use the fixed-route accessible bus service.  Visit the website to view bus routes and fares.

The Williamsburg Trolley provides trips to shopping and restaurants around the Williamsburg area. WATA provides service between Surry County and Williamsburg, James City County, and the Bruton District of York County.

WATA Ticket Sales Office is located at the Williamsburg Transportation Center at 468 N  Boundary Street. The Ticket Office is open Monday through Saturday from 8 am - 7 pm; however, the Ticket Office closes from  12:30 - 1:00 pm, daily.
