Who We Are
The Sylvestery at Vinson Hall Retirement Community, a LifePlan or a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offers memory support in the assisted living facility. The community is supported by the Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation (NMCGRF). The facility creates activities based on individual abilities and group interests in areas such as music, art appreciation, baking, and history. The Sylvestery is located right across the street from the main campus. No military or government affiliation is required for residence.
The Sylvestery is committed to using new technologies to enhance everyday life. The Sensory Oasis room provides a soothing array of images, sounds, textures, and scents designed to help soothe and relax residents, and Paro, an interactive, therapeutic robotic seal to reduce stress and increase socialization. Additionally, Skype enables family members to speak with residents face-to-face via video conference.
