Friendly Visitor Program

Senior Services of Alexandria (SSA) offers a Friendly Visitor Program.  The program matches isolated seniors with members of the community for weekly visits. 



SSA screens and trains volunteers who donate their time and energy to bring companionship during weekly visits to elderly people residing in the City of Alexandria.  The goal of the program is to relieve loneliness and the feeling of isolation experienced by many of the City’s seniors.  If you would like to volunteer or know of a senior who could use a friendly visitor, please email friendvisitor@seniorservicesalex.org or call 703-836-4414, ext. 20.
