Landlord/Tenant Mediation

Alexandria Office of Housing provides housing related mediation between landlords and tenants by mutual agreement. In advance of mediation, you can download the Guide to Landlord-Tenant Laws & Policies to learn about tenant rights and landlord rights and responsibilities within the City.   Complaint program mediates housing-related disputes between landlords and tenants.



This program assists landlords and tenants in resolving disputes by providing information to both parties on their rights and responsibilities under local and state law, and by helping to settle disputes through mediation.
