Senior Transportation

Powhatan County Ride Assist Services is a service meeting one of PVA's greatest needs. Free transportation may be provided for eligible seniors for basic needs through a team of volunteer drivers. Through this service, seniors can continue to thrive in the community.  Seniors must be ambulatory, age 60 and over who are unable to drive themselves.  Wheelchair transportation is not available at this time.  Seniors must register before a ride can be scheduled. 

Ride Assist Services is a community agency that advocates for the ambulatory, independent-living seniors in Powhatan County.

Volunteer drivers are always needed.
