Who We Are
Brookdale Salem (formerly Emeritus at Ridgewood Gardens) is a non-medical residential setting that provides or coordinates personal and health care services, 24-hour supervision, and assistance for the care of adults who are aged, infirm, or disabled. Assistance with at least two activities of daily living is provided.
Non-ambulatory care is provided to 90 residents who because of physical or mental impairment are not capable of self-preservation without the assistance of another person.
The staff helps residents to maximize their independence and to live their life to the fullest in an environment that provides support on a personalized basis. Transportation is available to social, recreation, and medical appointments; meals on-site; hairstylist/barber on site, support groups. The medical adviser-geriatric doctor is also available. Residents receive assistance with many activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing; helping with ambulatory difficulties and assistance with incontinence; dietary guidance and preparation of delicious balanced meals. Provides housekeeping, round-the-clock emergency call response, active social, cultural, and educational programs and activities, local shopping, and transportation.
