Committed to the independence, dignity, and security of older adults and families in Virginia, the Commonwealth Council on Aging provides recommendations for Virginia's legislators based on the needs of older adults in Virginia. They support families in their efforts to care for frail, older members in their own homes and communities. They reduce barriers to the gainful employment of older persons and provide opportunities for all Virginians to develop the skills a technological age requires. The Council meets quarterly and all meetings are open to the public.
The Commonwealth Council on Aging is composed of citizens from all walks of life and all geographic areas of the Commonwealth.
The Council meets quarterly and all meetings are open to the public and will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at the Virginia Division for the Aging, unless otherwise noted. Visit Commonwealth Calendar.
