Who We Are

The Adult Services Unit of Shenandoah Valley Social Services is located in the Waynesboro office.  Adult Services are designed to allow the adult to remain in the least restrictive setting and function as independently as possible by establishing and/or strengthening appropriate family and social support systems or by supporting the adult in self-determination.  Adult Services are provided to disabled adults age 18 or older. Services offered may include:
•    Home-based services (companion)
•    Assessments for adults entering or residing in assisted living facilities
•    Screenings for adults entering nursing facilities or who need Medicaid-funded home and community-based waivers.
