Legal Accompaniment and Advocacy

The Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA) is committed to serving the needs of women, children, and men who have survived sexual assault. Our mission is to create and environment in which sexual violence is no longer tolerated.

Even though SARA does not have lawyers on staff, volunteers and staff are trained to provide information about the criminal justice system, can discuss reporting options and to help survivors through the legal process. Accompaniment to court or police station is provided, as well as to Emergency Room if evidence is to be collected by trained nurses.
