Who We Are

Bethany House offers short-term housing, a safe, confidential shelter, for 4 months.  The shelter for abused women and their children serves homeless women and children affected by domestic and family violence and offers case management to prevent revolving door admissions.  Bethany House gives assistance in finding housing, and employment, and helps the women regain their health and dignity.

Bethany operates three shelters for battered women and their children. Through the Family Assistance Program, comprehensive social services and support are given. Services include food, clothing, shelter, transportation assistance, childcare, legal and medical services on a pro-bono basis, court advocacy, and referrals to community service agencies.

Also provided are academic and vocational assessment, life skills training, adult and child counseling, and other direct personal assistance throughout their recovery period. A thrift shop provides free clothing, household furnishings, and goods to clients, provides clients with an outlet through which they can gain training and job skills, and generates cash and in-kind revenue for the shelters.
Accepts emergency cases, but the focus is long-term (four months).
