Home Delivered Meals

Appalachian  Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC) offers a Nutrition program that includes delivering a hot, frozen, or canned meal to eligible seniors.  Meals are delivered every 14 days.  Meal supplements can also be provided to any individual whose doctor states that person's need for a nutritional supplement.

Provides homebound elderly in Southwest Virginia, particularly those with low incomes, nutritionally sound meals in their homes in order to promote better health through improved nutrition; and, to reduce the isolation of old age, to offer homebound older citizens an opportunity to live their remaining years in dignity, maintain independence in their own homes and reduce the risk of institutionalization.
